Clipper Round the World Yacht Race: Race Start
We are excited to announce that the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race will start from St. Katharine Docks this September.
The eleven strong fleet of 70 foot ocean racing yachts will be berthed in the docks’ Centre Basin for a week-long event from 24th August, before they depart for their 40,000 nautical mile circumnavigation on 1st September. This will be the third time the global sailing event’s Race Start has been held here and we're thrilled to welcome them back.
At St. Katharine Docks the eleven yachts will be on public display until the start of the Race. Visit us and experience the atmosphere and be among the action as the Clipper Race prepares to depart. Activities will include the following:
- Live entertainment for all the family at the Clipper Race Fan Zone on Marble Quay from 10am-6pm, 24th August - 31st August.
- Tour the ocean racing fleet above and below deck every day from 10am - 6pm, 24th August - 30th August.
- Discover what it takes to become a crew member
