GB Row ’52 Degrees North’
IGY Destination, St Katharine Docks Marina is very proud to support and host a very special departure this June. The 2025 GB Row challenge ’52 Degrees North’ will see a trio of 50+ year old men depart St Katharine Docks, through Tower Bridge and onwards around Britain.
The 9-metre open trans-Atlantic rowing boat called ‘Hope’ will be arriving at St Katharine Docks on 29th May. Prior to its 2000-mile challenge it will be berthed up for its 3-night stay on the southern end of the SKD’s Public Pontoon and on 30th May, it’s crew, David Irving, Scott Brown and Rod Tredgett, will be on hand to talk about their challenge and answer any questions. The crew is rowing to support Andy’s Man Club, a charity dedicated to preventing male suicide by creating supportive environments for men to talk.
They will be departing at 0600 1st June, to start there challenge to row around the UK. Upon completion of the challenge, St Katharine Docks will be welcoming Hope and its crew back mid/end of July.
