Classic Boat Festival 2025
Be prepared for a truly magical floating spectacle in central London this autumn. The annual St Katharine Docks Classic Boat Festival is a boating extravaganza not to be missed and will see over 60 beautiful vintage and exquisitely preserved vessels assemble in the historic central and west basins. These include the war heroes, the Dunkirk Little Ships, motorboats from the Bates Star Craft range and other impressive working vessels, including historic tugs and the Navy P2000 vessel, HMS Trumpeter. With an array of activities including live music, talks and kids activities, it is the perfect day for all the family.
This 16th edition will see the festival extend into the west basin, with larger vessels, such as Thames sailing barges, displayed along the public pontoon.
Visitors will be able view the vessels at water level and meet their caring owners, with each day is marked with an opening and closing salute of horns. Talks from knowledgeable hosts will be held on the SKD Events Platform and the festival continues ashore with food, entertainment and nautical antiques available on Marble Quay.
This year the festival welcome’s back talk host and yachting celebrity Tom Cunliffe. He will be chatting about general yachting musings and launching a new book at the event. Other guests to the talk stage include the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships, Lively Lady, the Thames Vintage Boat Club, East coast historian Adam Taylor and the Royal Navy.
Free entry to visitors.
