Classic Boat Festival 2024
This annual boating extravaganza will see over 40 beautiful vintage and exquisitely preserved vessels assemble in the central basin of St Katharine Docks in London. These include the war heroes, the Dunkirk Little Ships, motorboats from the Bates Starcraft range and other impressive working vessels, including historic tugs and a Navy P2000 vessel. With an array of activities including live music, boat building workshops, talks and kids activities, it is the perfect day for all the family.
This 15th edition will see the festival extend into the west basin, with larger vessels, such as the Thames Sailing Barges, Edith May and the Adieu, and Whitstable smack Thistle, displayed along the public pontoon.
Visitors will be able to board some of the vessels and meet their caring owners, and each day is marked with an opening and closing salute of horns. Talks from knowledgeable hosts will be held on the SKD Events Platform and the festival continues ashore with food, entertainment, nautical goods and services available on Marble Quay.
