GB Row Challenge

IGY Destination, St Katharine Docks Marina is very proud to support and host a very special departure this June. The 2026 GB Row challenge will see two teams aboard 9-metre open trans-Atlantic rowing boats arrive at the marina in readiness for what is described as the ‘World Toughest Rowing Race’, rowing over 2000 miles unassisted around Britain. The first GB Row Challenge took place in 2005 when the four man team headed by William de Laszlo set a new World Record of 26 days 21 hours and 14 minutes.

The two boats are due to arrive at the marina on 11th June (between 10-10:30am) and then will depart on the 14th.
